Right from the start of the project, the pupils and staff at the school – who are the ones most directly affected – were actively involved in the planning process through participatory workshops. The aim was to share perspectives on the existing situation, consider the uses we would like to develop, understand the implications of the various development options, and thus arrive at a joint project endorsed by everyone.
