Atelier Soil is continuing its work in Mayenne by supporting the town of Laval in its transformation. A town of thresholds, situated between plateaus and valleys, between stone and water, between heritage and renewal; the six study sites identified for this project form the cornerstones of a single urban entity. Their transformation aims to bring the town into harmony with its geography, climate and everyday uses.
Our consortium is approaching this multi-site project with a two-fold objective:
- on the one hand, to conduct a detailed analysis of each site in order to plan and design each project in light of its specific characteristics and context (urban, landscape, heritage, social, economic, etc.)
- secondly, to maintain a comprehensive and cross-cutting approach at the city-wide level in Laval, so as to infuse each project with local identity and ensure its consistency with territorial dynamics and strategy.
