The railway station as the city’s new gateway: creating an attractive and vibrant eco-neighbourhood centred around the station
Preliminary studies for the Les Herbiers Station Eco-Neighbourhood: a 24-hectare site, a former industrial wasteland in the heart of the city, whose regeneration is linked to the reopening of the Cholet–Les Herbiers line (targeted for 2030).
A three-phase project: assessment, three contrasting scenarios, and an operational master plan; combining the revitalisation of the railway station as a central hub and multimodal transport centre, the regeneration of railway and industrial heritage, a mixed-use development (housing, businesses, amenities), de-sealing and the management of living soils, all underpinned by ongoing consultation.
