The brief was to draw up a reference development plan, to be drawn up and shared with all the players in the area, both public and private. The aim was to establish the strategic positioning of one of the last undeveloped sites in Paris, owned mainly by the SNCF, and which in September 2025 will be home to the students of the Condorcet Campus.
The site is intended to accommodate a number of vital metropolitan functions, the cohabitation of which is a key issue: a Bus Operations Centre, a waste collection centre, a recycling centre, a storage area, production premises and a one-hectare public park.
Atelier Soil, together with Une Fabrique de la Ville, led the strategic workshops, drew up the master plan, and tested the capacity of each block to accommodate the expected programmes, all through a detailed study of the site's extremely limited accessibility.
